Our Past

Image Media, Canada’s oldest educational software supplier, has been serving national markets from our offices in British Columbia and Ontario since 1985. We are an amalgamation of two companies – Image Media and Pilot Software. Image Media has its roots in British Columbia where it began in the early 1980’s. Pilot Software started as a small business in 1985 from an office in Milton, Ontario. The two companies joined forces in 1996 and operate today under the name of Image Media.

Our Present

Our mission is to provide exemplary customer service while working with educational customers from coast to coast. This will include prompt service, advice on your educational software requirements, and offering our customers a wide range of useful technology tools for your classroom.

We provide software for use within the classroom to teach a wide variety of subjects. Image Media is an authorized academic reseller for Broderbund, Dorling Kindersley, Edmark, Ingenuity Works, Knowledge Adventure, The Learning Company, Mindscape, Roger Wagner, Sunburst, Tom Snyder Productions, and many others.

Many business software companies offer special academic pricing for their products. We are authorized by Adobe, Corel, Dragon, Macromedia, Microsoft, Symantec, and others to sell to our academic customers at prices that are substantially less than regular pricing.

Our Future

Fifteen years is not a long time when you consider the history of various companies in Canada. It is a very long time in the business of educational software. Do you remember the C64 and the Apple IIe? They were the platform of choice for schools in the late 1980’s.
